Sri Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Minister for Home, Telangana State distributed essential commodities Rice, Dal, vegetables etc to the poor and the needy in Goshamahal area on Friday. Goshamahal corporator Sri Mukesh singh, Sri Muneer and others have participated in the programme.
Telangana Government Free Food Distribution Programs
Commodities have been distributed to 500 people . On this occasion Minister spoke to the media and said, Goshamahal corporator is working for the welfare of the his area public and he is showing much interest to complete the construction of double bed room houses.
Minister further said it is the Telangana Government under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister decided to issue essential commodities to poor people over 87 lakhs holding white ration card and also those poor who do not have food ration card free of cost for one month. Accordingly, Government have been distributing the essential commodities so that no one in the state face starvation. He states that due to imposition of lockdown in the state as well as in entire country as a measure of containing the spread of Corona Virus, many leaders have been coming forward to help their mite with distributing food, food grains etc to the poor people and others who depend on their daily wages and have gone jobless and facing many problems. He urged that everybody must stay at home and should not come out unless there is an urgent work and must maintain distance to each other in case of coming out to break the chain and spread of Corona Virus.
Hon’ble Chairman for State Civil Supplies Corporation M.Srinivas Reddy, H.w.Mayor Dr.Bonthu Rammohan along with Hon’ble MLA Sri. Danam Nagender administer rice distribution in Srinagar Colony, Panjagutta here today.
Speaking on the occasion Hon’ble Chairman said the ration will be distributed till month end and there is no need to be panic and appealed the people to take ration as per tokens issued by following social distance. Further said Rs. 1500 is adjusted in banks / post offices and card holders can take Rs.1500 at post office or at bank while following social distance.
Further, the Chairman said as a part of, no one goes hungry Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Mission Government is also giving free ration this month also i.e. 12 kg rice and Rs. 1500 to the poor people. Rice about Rs.1200 crores worth is distributing to the poor. At present Dal is being supplied in some districts and will also be supplied in other districts as and when stock arrives.
H.w.Mayor said we all came to see the distribution of ration by ensuring social distance. As per instructions of the Hon’ble CM K.Chandrashaker Rao that no one goes hungry due lock down prevailing situation, distributing free rice 12kg to each person and Rs.1500 to each card holder. Even than if any one facing problems it should brought to the notice of the local public representative. Providing free food to 1.75 lakhs needy through Annapurna free meals daily. Further Mayor appealed the citizens to co-operative and follow with the measures taken by government in containing covid-19 virus.
Later, Hon’ble Chairman, H.w. Mayor, Hon’ble MLA and local area Corporator Ms.Kavitha Reddy felicitated the sanitation workers.
